GamePro (Nov 08) to include free Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer invites
Activision today announced that the sequel to the ninja-good Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS on November 11.
But the fun will actually begin in October when both Xbox 360 and PC owners are treated to a closed, early download of the game's multiplayer mode. Activision hasn't revealed how many slots will be available for the beta, but the upcoming issue of GamePro out this month has 12 early access tokens to give away. Keep your peepers peeled for further details.
"We are excited to share a sneak peak of Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer," said Mark Lamia, Treyarch Studio Head. "The team has worked hard to build upon the great history and foundation of Call of Duty multiplayer, and we cant wait to go online to ramp up for our November launch."
Call of Duty: World at War is rated mature and returns to the series World War II roots, while building upon the addictive play mechanics and impressive visuals of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

GTA IV DLC coming late November?

Posted in Xbox 360, Games, Xbox Live Marketplace by Ross Hayward on Thursday September 4 2008 11:52
Eurogamer has some sources close to Rockstar North who are spreading the word that the highly anticipated downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV is heading to gamers in late November, bringing with it an extra ten hours of gameplay.
The content remains exclusive to the Xbox 360, and apparently both batches of downloadable content will add ten hours each, as well as bringing two new sets of Achievements. There’s still no word on what will be included in the first package, but many hope new cities will be added with a whole new mission set.

There’s still no word from Rockstar or Microsoft about when we will definitely see the first content, which was originally speculated to arrive in the Fall. Rockstar had previously stated to expect the content between November 2008 and January 2009, so a late November release would make for a lovely, early Christmas present.
